Nature conservation – Ecological assessment on the planned photovoltaic installation by oekostrom Produktions GmbH in the municipality of Parndorf – Fauna, Flora, and Habitats

Project Description: The project involved the preparation of an ecological assessment. This was based on the planning documents provided by the company oekostrom Produktions GmbH, the identified protected assets, and the conservation and development objectives of the affected Natura 2000 sites. In addition, the regulation pursuant to § 53a para. 3 of the Burgenland Regional Planning Act 2019 (Land Burgenland 2019) was taken into account.
Comprehensive field surveys were also carried out to record the habitat types, plant, and animal species present on the project site. Based on these data, potential impacts on the relevant protected assets and conservation objectives were described. Furthermore, an ecological concept was developed to ensure the promotion of biodiversity through the open-space photovoltaic installation.
