The LIFE EUROKITE project and the CPEW campaign made a strong impact at Agrokomplex 2025, Slovakia’s largest exhibition focused on agriculture, forestry, hunting, and fishing. With over 92,000 visitors in attendance, the event provided a prime platform for raising awareness about critical conservation issues.

Over the five-day exhibition, experts from Raptor Protection of Slovakia and the LIFE EUROKITE team engaged with the public on key topics affecting bird populations, including:

• Bird crime and the deliberate poisoning of wildlife

• The dangerous impacts of anticoagulant rodenticides used in agriculture

• The misuse of plant protection products, leading to secondary poisoning of raptors and other wildlife

• Effective prevention and solutions to mitigate these threats

Through insightful discussions and information-sharing, the LIFE EUROKITE team successfully highlighted the urgent need for greater protection of raptors and other species at risk from human activities.
