About
Sarah Postner is originally from Regensburg in Germany. She got influenced greatly by her parents, who are both zoologists and taught her a lot about the appreciation for the intricate beauty and vital importance of every species. She spent a big part of her childhood in the garden, the forest and the floodlands of the nearby beaver territory. Her interest in nature conservation and climate justice grew quickly and she decided to study veterinary medicine in Vienna with the aim of working in species conservation. She finished with the specialisation in conservation medicine and participated in numerous internships in the field of wildlife conservation in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Peru, New Zealand and the Galapagos Islands.
After working in practical small animal medicine, veterinary course organisation, administration and translation, recognizing the power of digital communication, she additionally studied online marketing to amplify the reach of critical environmental causes. Currently, Sarah is further deepening her academic impact by pursuing a Master’s in Nature Conservation and Biodiversity Management in Vienna.
Since 2026, she has been working for the Viennese Biodiversity Corridor, advocating for native flora and pollinators, and as a guide for Wild&Life, where she leads immersive nature tours for children and adults. Through her work with TBRaab she collaborates with the tagging team and supports farmers transforming agricultural land into a sanctuary for the iconic Great Bustard.
